The Vikings Sign Hardy Nickerson
The Minnesota Vikings have announced that they signed linebacker Hardy Nickerson.
Heading into camp, linebacker was one of Minnesota’s deepest positions. In recent days, though, the depth has taken a hit. Cameron Smith will miss the season for heart surgery, and Ben Gedeon is still on the PUP list. Recent FA signing Quentin Poling was waived because of an injury.
Even with these injuries, the Vikings are still in a strong position at linebacker. Nickerson is competing for a backup role on defense and for a spot on special teams.
